Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 3–5 years supervisory experience.
• Good organizational skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office products.
• High level of initiative.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Assist in the daily operation of materials scanners.
• Strong problem solving, leadership, and supervisory skills.
• Ability to motivate hourly employees to stay on tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, quality, and productivity within area.
• Supervise the activities of production, material handling hourly employees in the performance of their jobs
• Monitor current and potential shortages and take action to eliminate downtime caused by these shortages
• Communicate with other departments to ensure material is located when required for use
• Ensure the line counts and reporting of shortages are accurate and timely; organize container management
• Monitor build requirements and ensure that material is moved to the production line in a timely manner
• Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Outlook
• Train hourly employees and determine if they have the skills to successfully qualify for open production and material handling positions
• Lead lean initiatives and have an ability to oversee long term projects to successful completion
• Lead daily shift meetings and group leader meetings
• Ensure employee safety, Respond to employee questions, Maintain workplace organization
• Be responsible for company goals, communicate changes to shop floor employees, maintain quota
• Responsible for time and attendance reporting
• Work as a team member to continually improve departmental metrics
