Job summary

DFA in Athens, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general and preventive maintenance on production, processing, and utility equipment. You will analyze, repair, and modify equipment, read schematics, and support installation while minimizing downtime. The role requires PLC/HMI experience, welding/fabrication skills, and strong safety compliance.

You will work with limited supervision, document all work orders, and help identify process improvements in a GMP environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Trade/technical school in electrical, PLC/HMI, mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.
2–4 years maintenance, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, PLC, HVAC in manufacturing.
Experience with lubrication, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment and utilities.
Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections for reliability and performance.
Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders to perform maintenance.
Support installation of new equipment.
Assist operators with training and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Document work orders clearly and maintain records per SOPs.
