Job summary

DFA in High Point, NC seeks a General Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment operating efficiently. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical/mechanical systems, and assist in equipment installation while following GMP, safety, and sanitation standards.

The role requires reading schematics and work orders, using hand/power tools, and documenting repairs. 1–3 years of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Trade school or technical training preferred in electrical, PLC/HMI, or mechanical fields.
• 1–3 years maintenance-related experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read schematics and service manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and/or repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment and related systems following safety procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist in equipment installation.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders.
• Minimize downtime by troubleshooting and supporting operators.
• Document repairs clearly and complete required paperwork accurately.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Trade school/technical training preferred

Certification and/or License may be required
