Job summary

DFA is seeking a maintenance technician to perform general maintenance and repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment and related utilities. The role requires reading schematics, following safety procedures, and supporting installation and training activities.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 1–3 years in maintenance or related fields, with preferred experience in PLC/HMI, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade/technical school preferred in electrical, PLC/HMI, refrigeration, or related fields.
• 1–3 years of maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or HVAC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned, unplanned, and emergency maintenance on production, processing, and packaging equipment and related utilities.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and read technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
• Assist in installation of new equipment and train operators as needed.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimize downtime.
• Document all repairs and complete required paperwork clearly and accurately.
• Maintain parts inventory by reporting low stock levels to supervisor.
