Job summary

Commercial Employees is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a New Kensington-based manufacturer of automotive products. The role focuses on keeping production lines and plant facilities running safely and efficiently to meet customer demand.

Responsibilities include setup/teardown of equipment, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting with a team oriented approach. Must have a high school diploma, 1–3 years of maintenance experience, and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Certified forklift operator and ability to operate elevated lifts.
• Able to understand written and verbal work instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude to operate and repair equipment safely.
• Good judgment, able to work independently or in a team.
• Must pass a mechanical aptitude test.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily shutdowns, startups, and changeovers of production lines.
• Operate equipment with hand and power tools and troubleshoot lines.
• Assemble, dismantle, install, and set up production equipment.
• Determine materials, tools, and personnel to complete projects and perform repairs.
• Check services and equipment for proper performance and leaks; perform preventive maintenance.
• Perform mechanical maintenance with appropriate equipment and follow instructions.
