Job summary

Commercial Employees is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a New Kensington manufacturer of automotive products. This direct-hire role pays $25-$30 per hour and requires 1–3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, with forklift certification and the ability to interpret instructions.

The technician will handle daily line start/stop, equipment setup, and preventive maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operations and on-time production to meet customer demand.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Certified forklift operator required.
• Able to understand written and verbal work instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude to operate and repair production equipment.
• Good judgment, able to work independently or in a team.
• Must pass a mechanical aptitude test.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily shutdowns, startups and changeovers on production lines.
• Operate hand/power tools and troubleshoot production lines per instructions.
• Assemble, dismantle and set up equipment as needed.
• Determine materials, tools, and personnel for projects; execute repairs.
• Check services, equipment and assemblies for proper operation and leaks.
