Job summary

Old World Industries in New Kensington, PA seeks a Maintenance Technician to serve as a hands-on technical resource for resolving equipment problems affecting production. You will diagnose tooling and machine issues, identify corrective actions, procure parts, and perform repairs, reporting to the shift Supervisor.

Maintain safety and cleanliness, document actions, and contribute to continuous improvement. Requirements include 2+ years of related experience or a technical degree in maintenance,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related work experience or a technical degree related to maintenance or other related field.
• Demonstrate good mechanical aptitude.
• Understand written instructions and complete appropriate documentation as directed.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements on production machines.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, etc.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
