Job summary

Commercial Employees is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support a busy manufacturing operation. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

The position features a 2nd shift (M-F, 2:00pm-10:30pm) with a starting rate of $22/hr and increases DOE. Reliable driving and the ability to interpret technical measuring instruments are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to read measuring instruments.
• Experience with mechanical maintenance preferred.
• Ability to use hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
• Familiar with gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
• Ability to read diagrams and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and identify mechanical sources of problems.
• Observe equipment to spot potential issues and listen for abnormal sounds.
• Use precision instruments during troubleshooting and repairs.
• Replace defective parts using tools and hoists; inspect parts for adjustments.
• Maintain efficient use of maintenance tools and supplies.

Maintenance Technician

Commercial Employees is currently hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician to support a busy manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery and mechanical equipment to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

2nd shift is M-F 2:00pm-10:30pm

Starting rate $22/hr. and increases DOE

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

• Current, valid driver’s license
• Ability to read and interpret measuring instruments
• Previous industrial or mechanical maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to use hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools
• Experience with gauges, indicators, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
• Ability to read diagrams, equipment manuals, manufacturer instructions, and basic engineering specifications
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills

Maintenance Technician Job Duties:

• Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and mechanical equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and determine the source of mechanical problems
• Observe and listen to operating equipment to identify potential issues
• Use precision measuring and testing instruments during troubleshooting and repairs
• Remove and replace defective parts using hand and power tools, hoists, and cranes
• Inspect used parts and determine necessary dimensional or functional adjustments
• Adjust and repair equipment using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments
• Help minimize production downtime through effective preventive maintenance
• Use maintenance equipment, tools, parts, and supplies efficiently
