Job summary

Commercial Employees is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a New Kensington manufacturer of automotive products. The role ensures efficient operation of mechanical components on production lines and plant facilities, with hands-on maintenance, safety, and reliability as core aims.

The position is a Direct Hire and pays between $25 and $30 per hour. The candidate should have 1-3 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, be forklift-certified, and able to operate elevated lifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Must be a certified forklift operator and able to operate elevated lifts.
• Understand written and verbal work instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude to operate machines safely and perform complex repairs.
• Good judgment and decision making, able to work independently or in a team.
• Must pass a mechanical aptitude test.
• Commercial Employees is a veteran-led staffing firm with 7 Pittsburgh offices, one in Charlotte and one in Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily shut down, start up and changeover of all production lines.
• Operates equipment requiring hand and power tools and troubleshoots production lines.
• Assembles, dismantles, installs and sets up equipment for production and miscellaneous equipment.
• Determines materials, tools, personnel and instructions to complete projects and makes necessary repairs.
