Job summary

Midwest Block & Brick in Missouri is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will maintain automated machinery, diagnose issues, and perform preventive maintenance across hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems and conveyors.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of industrial maintenance experience, can read schematics, operate a voltage meter, and weld/fabricate parts as needed. CMMS experience is preferred and safety standards apply.

Qualifications

• At least two years as a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician.
• Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with CMMS software.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and electrical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain automated manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Inspect, repair and perform preventive maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control, and conveyor systems.
• Read schematics, blueprints and use a voltage meter for diagnostics.
• Light welding and fabrication of machine parts (Stick or MIG).
• Troubleshoot PLCs (Allen Bradley or Siemens).
• Support building, grounds and general facility maintenance.

About the Role:

As a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician with Midwest Best Block you are responsible for:

• The Maintenance of Automated Machinery
• Inspecting, Repairing, and Performing Maintenance on All Manufacturing Machinery (This looks like hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control, and conveyor belt systems.)
• Reading Schematics, Blueprints, and a Voltage Meter (You need to have a solid understanding of 24v, AC/DC, 110V, Transformers, Conductors, Relays, Single and Three-Phase Motors, and 480V for this to be the right fit for you.)
• Light Welding and Fabrication of Machine Parts (We use Stick or MIG, depending on the machine set-up.)
• Troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (We use Allen Bradley or Siemen's products.)
• Assisting with Building, Grounds, and Preventative Maintenance throughout the Facility.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

• At Least Two Years as a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician
• At Least Two Years of Maintenance Experience in an Industrial setting
• Work in a Dusty, Climate-Controlled, Industrial Environment
• (We also would be looking for someone with working experience using a CMMS Software System.)
