Job summary

Direct Wire is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team and drive safe, reliable operation of manufacturing equipment, facilities, and utilities. You will plan maintenance work, develop technicians, and elevate preventive and predictive programs while reducing unplanned downtime and managing costs.

You will partner with Production, Engineering and Safety, and support the Project Manager with planning and execution of equipment and facilities projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field; candidates with an associate degree may be considered with significant relevant experience.
• Five+ years industrial maintenance experience with supervisory or management responsibility in manufacturing.
• Experience planning maintenance, managing contractors and budgets, and using CMMS.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, motors, drives, hydraulics and pneumatics; PLCs helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the maintenance team with clear expectations, coaching, training, and performance management.
• Plan maintenance work, schedule shutdowns, and coordinate safety and production needs.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and pro-active maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
• Manage CMMS, work orders, equipment histories, and manuals.
• Lead root-cause analysis of failures and assign corrective actions with owners and deadlines.
• Approve budgets, balance costs, and coordinate parts, vendors and contractor activities.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering and Safety; support project planning and execution.
