Job summary

Hire Up Staffing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for a direct-hire opportunity within an industrial manufacturing team. The role leads all plant maintenance, drives safety improvements, and develops the maintenance staff to maximize equipment reliability and production efficiency.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in maintenance supervision, strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, and PLC troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of maintenance supervision and management experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with PLC programming, controls, and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience developing and managing preventative maintenance programs.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all plant maintenance activities and maintenance personnel.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime.
• Lead, train, and mentor maintenance team members while continually improving technical skills and performance.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment used in production, packaging, and shipping operations.
• Demonstrate proficiency in PLC programming, including diagnosing programs and making modifications as needed.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, controls, fabrication, and mechanical systems to ensure reliable operations.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure necessary materials and equipment are available.
• Partner with operations, production, and administrative teams to promote safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Work with the Site VP of Operations to monitor maintenance expenses, manage costs, and support departmental budgets.
• Implement and enforce workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure maintenance activities support production goals, equipment performance, and consistent product quality.
