Job summary

AFL is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead operations and support functions, driving safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity in a high-mix, build-to-order environment. You will guide Production, Process Engineering, and Tooling while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include directing daily operations, coordinating with Supply Chain and Engineering, and ensuring validated processes and proper staffing across shifts to meet commitments with

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience leading more than one function (e.g., production and process engineering).
• Experience with fiber cable assembly or related industry preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement with measurable results.
• Excellent MS Office skills and analytic problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity targets.
• Manage labor, equipment, materials, and resources to meet customer demand.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Customer Service to support objectives.
• Monitor performance via KPIs and visual management; drive escalation and countermeasures.
• Manage departmental budgets and staffing plans; ensure ramp-up and capacity to meet plan.
