Job summary

The Hillman Group in Tempe, AZ is seeking a lead for our manufacturing and distribution site. This role runs 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with an hourly pay rate of $27.00.

The position serves as a back up to the manufacturing supervisor and supports high-level inventory activities. You will drive quality improvements, coordinate with manufacturing resources, use measuring devices and gages, lead 5S, and ensure accurate audits and paperwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ten+ years manufacturing/distribution/assembly experience typical and preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail required.
• Ability to work from verbal and written instructions.
• Demonstrates leadership to meet production goals.
• Team oriented with safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Leads efforts to resolve quality barriers and non-conforming material issues.
• Coordinates inspection with manufacturing resources to ensure requirements are met.
• Uses measuring devices and basic hand tools to evaluate quality.
• Leads 5S activities and maintains a clean work environment.
• Accounts for audit results and aligns resources to reduce errors.
• Handles interdepartmental and site-level storage needs.
• Monitors productivity and speed to meet requirements.
• Completes inventory transactions and BOM comparisons.
• Reports inconsistencies to supervisor and others as needed.
