Job summary

ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Manufacturing Lab Technician for an onsite 12-month contract in Millsboro, DE. The role supports an antigen production lab and involves aseptic processing, general housekeeping, and working with manufacturing equipment in a safe, compliant facility.

The candidate will perform aseptic and non-aseptic procedures, maintain records, and assist with training and weekly reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of pharmaceutical manufacturing facility experience preferred.
• Ability to operate manufacturing equipment with training.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• General knowledge of reading, mathematics and computer skills.
• Ability to communicate and work with others in a manufacturing environment.
• Successful completion of a POET (Physical Abilities Test).
• Ability to work varying hours, rotating shifts and some weekends.
• Flexibility to work overtime is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with a variety of manufacturing equipment while completing processes throughout the manufacturing cycle.
• Assist with equipment setup and operation.
• Perform manual and/or automated operations, general maintenance and support functions.
• Execute housekeeping in all work areas and facility decontamination according to procedures.
• Assist with aseptic procedures including antigen inoculation and harvest, cell culture preparation and harvest.
• Assist with non-aseptic procedures including handling of live animal virus in harvesting tissue and waste.
• Maintain concurrent record keeping including charts, log books, and documents.
• Identify and address compliance, environmental, safety, and process deviations and notify appropriate personnel.
• May be accountable for hazardous waste accumulation, labeling and management as appropriate.
• Demonstrate safe work habits and maintain a safe work environment per policies.
• Assist in weekly reports and attend trainings as required.

Job Description

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Manufacturing Lab Technician for an Onsite position with a Pharmaceutical Company located in Millsboro, DE. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

This position supports an antigen production lab within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The role's primary duties involve lab responsibilities such as executing aseptic processes, general housekeeping, and closed system processing. The successful candidate will work with various manufacturing equipment and maintain a safe, compliant work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work with a variety of manufacturing equipment while completing processes throughout the manufacturing cycle
• Assist with equipment setup and operation
• Perform manual and/or automated operations, general maintenance and support functions
• Execute housekeeping in all work areas and facility decontamination according to approved procedures
• Assist with performing aseptic procedures including antigen inoculation and harvest, cell culture preparation and harvest
• Assist with performing non-aseptic procedures including handling of live animal virus in the process of harvesting tissue and waste
• Maintain concurrent record keeping including charts, log books, and all pertinent documentation
• Identify and address compliance, environmental, safety, and process deviations as appropriate while notifying appropriate personnel
• May be accountable for accumulation, labeling and management of hazardous wastes, as appropriate to the area
• Demonstrate safe work habits and maintain a safe work environment, complying with all safety and company policies and procedures
• Assist in weekly reports as assigned
• Attend training classes, workshops, and meetings as required to improve job skills and product-related procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience (pharmaceutical manufacturing facility experience preferred)
• Ability to operate manufacturing equipment with training
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• General knowledge of reading, mathematics and computer skills
• Ability to communicate and work in cooperation with other employees in a manufacturing environment
• Successful completion of a Physical Abilities Test (POET)
• Ability to work varying hours based on business needs, including a rotating shift and some weekends
• Flexibility to work overtime is required

Pay range: up to $22.33per hour
