Primary Talent Partners has a 12 month contract opening for a Laboratory Technician to join a multinational pharmaceutical company for an onsite position operating out of Millsboro, DE.

Pay: $19.50/hr
Contract: 12 months, extensions likely, conversion possible
Type: W-2, cannot support C2C or provide visa sponsorship
Schedule / Shift:The department operates 7 days a week; with 2 days off rotating weekly. Potential for overtime, and potential for schedule change to either earlier or later hours depending on Production needs. Initial coverage from 6:00am-2:30pm. Schedule flexibility a must.

Summary:

A Laboratory Technician is responsible for critical laboratory procedures and duties in the production of veterinary products.
Technicians may work with a variety of technical equipment while completing washing, wrapping, and sterilization of equipment.
At all times technicians must follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to all safety and company policies, perform duties assigned by department supervision.

Responsibilities:

Perform procedures including the washing, wrapping, and sterilization of equipment, loading/unloading of autoclaves, movement of materials, decontamination of wastes.
Maintain accurate and reliable record keeping including charts, log books, and all pertinent documentation
Communicate any unusual and/or non-routine occurrences when performing tasks
Cleaning work areas
Equipment setup and operation.
Hazardous materials: Isopropyl Alcohol, Hydrogen peroxide, Phenolic Disinfectants, and Oxidizers

Qualifications:

High school or equivalent required; college degree in sciences is preferred.
Ideal candidate wouldbe a fresh graduate with some hands-on laboratory experience garnered from academia.
Practical experience in the lab is heavily preferred, though not required.
Practical experience in a GMP / Manufacturing environment is heavily preferred, though not required.
