Job summary

Yanfeng is hiring an IT Site Analyst (IT Professional) for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM) in Louisville, KY. The role supports manufacturing systems including MES/WMS, provides Level 1 assistance, and collaborates with global teams to keep production running efficiently.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s in IT/CS or equivalent, 5–9 years in IT with manufacturing experience, and familiarity with networking, scripting, and industrial connectivity platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in InformationTechnology, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5–9 years of IT experience, including hands‑on experience with manufacturing system implementations.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience within the automotive manufacturing industry preferred.
• Experience supporting high‑availability or production‑critical environments.
• Knowledge of manufacturing hardware including barcode scanners, thermal printers, and related shop floor peripherals.
• Experience supporting MES or WMS systems in a manufacturing/shop floor environment.
• Familiarity with PLC communication architecture.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including LAN/WAN, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, and subnets.
• Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Experience with Kepware or industrial connectivity platforms.

Responsibilities

• Implement, support, and work with vendors and project teams to enhance manufacturing application solutions.
• Provide Level 1 support for mission‑critical manufacturing platforms, including after‑hours or weekend support when needed.
• Analyze business and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for efficiency and safety.
• Develop and document functional and technical requirements to support operations.
• Troubleshoot issues while coordinating with vendors and support teams to resolve them.
• Monitor interfaces, logs, and error reporting to preemptively address problems.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge bases.
• Support deployment activities for new manufacturing technologies and solutions.
• Manage ongoing support requests, system administration, and maintenance tasks.
• Support PC and server infrastructure within facilities, including backup/recovery administration.
• Collaborate on system upgrades, changes, and integrations.
• Participate in planning and improvement initiatives for regional and global systems.
• Ensure functionality is tested and validated during upgrades and migrations.
• Deliver strong customer support and communicate with plant personnel and vendors.
