Job summary

Yanfeng in Louisville, KY is seeking an IT Site Analyst (3rd Shift) to support and optimize manufacturing systems including MES/WMS. You will provide Level 1 support, work with vendors, and coordinate with plant teams to minimize downtime.

You'll analyze processes, document requirements, and help deploy new technologies while following change management procedures and ensuring data integrity across global manufacturing platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–9 years IT experience with manufacturing system implementations.
• 1–3 years in automotive manufacturing preferred.
• Experience supporting high-availability or production-critical environments.
• Experience with MES or WMS in manufacturing/shop floor environments.
• Knowledge of PLC communication architecture and networking basics (LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS).
• Experience with infrastructure technologies (Active Directory, Group Policy, Virtualization, Backup/Recovery).

Responsibilities

• Implement, support, and collaborate with vendors/projects to enhance MES/WMS and related production systems.
• Provide Level 1 support for manufacturing platforms, including after-hours involvement to minimize downtime.
• Analyze business processes to identify efficiency and safety improvements.
• Develop functional and technical requirements for system enhancements.

Job Description

• Implement, support, and work with vendors and/or project teams to enhance manufacturing application solutions including MES, WMS, and related production systems.
• Provide Level 1 support for mission-critical manufacturing platforms, including occasional after-hours or weekend supportduring production-impacting incidents. Utilize defined escalation paths to reduce manufacturing downtime at plant.
• Analyze business and manufacturing processes to identify opportunitiesfor increased efficiency, productivity, safety, and system performance.
• Develop and document functional and technical requirements to support business operations and future system enhancements.
• Troubleshoot application, interface, and infrastructure issues while coordinating with vendors and internal support teams to drive timely resolutions.
• Monitor system interfaces, application logs, and error reporting tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and knowledge base articles.
• Support implementation and deployment activities for new manufacturing technologies and strategic enterprise solutions.
• Manage ongoing support requests, system administration activities, and maintenance tasks.
• Support PC and server infrastructure within manufacturing facilities, including backup and recovery administration.
• Collaborate withinfrastructure and operations teams to execute system upgrades, changes, and integrations.
• Participate in planning and continuous improvement initiatives for regional and global manufacturing systems.
• Ensure system functionality is thoroughly tested and validated during upgrades and future platform migrations.
• Deliver exceptional customer support and maintainstrong communication with plant personnel, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Follow the corporate change management procedures before making any changes to the production environment.
• Partners with Maintenance on overhead and lift-related work, equipment lockout/tagout, and access to plant infrastructure.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5–9 years of IT experience, including hands-onexperience with manufacturing system implementations.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience within the automotive manufacturing industry preferred.
• Experience supporting high-availability or production-critical environments.
• Knowledge of manufacturing hardware including barcode scanners, thermal printers, and related shop floor peripherals.
• Experiencesupporting MES or WMS systems in a manufacturing/shop floor environment.
• Familiarity with PLC communication architecture.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including LAN/WAN, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, and subnets.
• Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Experience with infrastructure technologies including:
  1. Active Directory
  2. Group Policy
  3. Virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V)
  4. Backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam)

Willing to obtain and maintain scissor lift certification and safely operate a scissor lift to service overhead equipment, coordinating with the Maintenance department on lift use, scheduling, andsafe work practices.

Preferred Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge):

• Experience working within a global organization or automotive supplier environment.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and Oracle.
• Experience with Kepware or industrial connectivity platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
