Job summary

Copper State Bolt & Nut Co. is seeking an Inside Sales Representative – Manufacturing to support customers in the manufacturing, industrial, construction, and OEM markets. You will understand needs, recommend products, prepare quotations, coordinate orders, and collaborate with branch teams.

No fastener experience? Training provided. You will learn about industrial fasteners, hardware, materials, grades, finishes, specifications, and applications while building long-term customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in inside sales, industrial sales, manufacturing, distribution, or related field preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial distribution, construction, OEM, MRO, or related products is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn technical products and applications.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with manufacturing, industrial, construction, and OEM customers.
• Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, website, and in person.
• Ask questions and understand customer requirements to recommend products and solutions.
• Learn and develop knowledge of industrial fasteners, hardware, materials, grades, finishes, specifications, and applications.
• Prepare accurate quotes and follow up with customers to earn and grow business.
• Follow up on customer orders, special orders, and quotations to ensure commitments are met.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and suppliers to source specialty, non-stock, and hard-to-find products.
• Communicate product availability, pricing, lead times, order status, and potential delays to customers.
• Identify opportunities for additional products and services that can benefit customers.
• Recognize sales opportunities and partner with Outside Sales and Branch Management when additional support is needed.
• Coordinate with Warehouse personnel to ensure orders are accurately pulled, staged, and ready for pickup or shipment.
• Work with Accounting regarding new accounts, credit requirements, and applicable pre-lien programs.
• Maintain accurate customer, quote, and order information in the ERP system.
• Proactively resolve customer issues and communicate with internal teams to provide an exceptional customer experience.
