Job summary

Cisco Systems is seeking an Industry Solutions Engineer for Manufacturing to serve as the technical authority on OT/ICS security, production uptime, and supply chain visibility. You will map Splunk’s platform to manufacturing data sources, including SCADA, PLC, MES, and IIoT, and drive AI-enabled tooling for internal processes.

The role supports remote work across the United States and interacts with sales and product teams to shape solutions and win strategies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role with manufacturing/industrial customers.
• Experience with OT/ICS environments (SCADA, PLC, MES) and IT/OT convergence security/monitoring.
• Experience with security operations, observability, or industrial monitoring platforms; data modeling skills.
• Experience integrating SAP ecosystems (S/4HANA, SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP) with back-office/ops workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technical expert on Manufacturing use cases (OT/ICS security, production uptime, supply chain visibility).
• Design and deliver demos, POVs, and reference architectures mapping Splunk platform to manufacturing data sources (SCADA/PLC/MES/IIoT).
• Drive AI adoption and internal tooling to automate order processing, invoicing, and warehousing.
• Architect and demonstrate SAP integration to connect plant-floor ops with back-office systems.
• Advise product management on roadmap using customer feedback and regulatory trends (NIST 800-82, IEC 62443).
