Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer to boost efficiency across our George facilities. You will streamline production lines, optimize resource use, and apply advanced manufacturing techniques in a hybrid work setting.

The successful candidate combines theory with practical application, has hands-on experience in manufacturing and supply chain, and communicates effectively with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years hands-on experience in industrial or process engineering.
• Demonstrated experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and process modeling software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in production and logistics.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Create and maintain detailed process documentation, flowcharts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with production staff to troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies or equipment to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on operational efficiency metrics to management.
