Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Business Partner to provide day-to-day HR support for our lumber mills in Talladega, Alabama, and Warrenton, Georgia. This on-site role will serve two sites, with travel between mills 25% or more as needed to support leadership and employees.

You will guide leaders on employee relations, onboarding, performance management, HR compliance, and core HR processes, balancing priorities across shifts and locations.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in an HRBP, HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or comparable human resource role.
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or operations environment.
• Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, HR compliance, or other core HR processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel for organizing, reviewing, and communicating workforce information.
• Ability to travel between multiple mills (e.g., Rome, GA & Warrenton, GA) 25%+ and maintain an on-site presence at two locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR guidance to leaders, supervisors, and employees.
• Support hourly staffing activities, including recruiting coordination, candidate selection, onboarding, and follow-up.
• Assist leaders with employee relations, attendance, performance management, corrective action, and policy application.
• Maintain accurate employee records and support compliance with employment requirements and internal HR processes.
• Prepare and review routine workforce information, including staffing, turnover, attendance, and other HR reports.
• Coordinate with HR capability teams, payroll, benefits, recruiting, and other partners to resolve needs.
• Support employee engagement, recognition, training, and site HR initiatives.
