Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Business Partner to provide day-to-day HR support for our lumber mill operations, primarily at Talladega, Alabama, or Warrenton, Georgia. The role covers two mills and requires travel to other sites as needed.

You will partner with mill leaders to drive employee relations, staffing, onboarding, performance management, and HR compliance. The position emphasizes responsiveness, organization, and balancing HR priorities across locations, with

Qualifications

• Two+ years in an HRBP/generalist/HR coordination role.
• HR experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Experience with employee relations, performance mgmt, HR compliance.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel for workforce reporting.
• Willingness to travel between Rome, GA and Warrenton, GA (25%+).

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR guidance to leaders and employees, resolving workplace concerns.
• Support hourly staffing: recruiting coordination, onboarding, and follow-up.
• Assist leaders with employee relations, attendance, performance management, and policy application.
• Maintain accurate employee records and support HR compliance.
• Prepare routine workforce reports (staffing, turnover, attendance).
• Coordinate with payroll, benefits, recruiting, and HR capability teams to resolve needs.
• Support employee engagement and site HR initiatives.
