Job summary

Alltrista Plastics LLC is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead employee relations, payroll, onboarding, and compliance for our Springfield plant. You will partner with the HR Director to implement policies, manage staffing, and drive initiatives that improve retention and attendance.

The role requires 7+ years in HR, ideally in manufacturing, plus strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive human resources experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Comfort with ambiguity in complex situations.
• Excellent computer capabilities, including HR systems and MS Office.
• Ability to analyze problems and take independent action.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR Director to execute on priorities and support company and facility goals.
• Implement programs that promote morale, retention, and attendance; recommend changes when necessary.
• Manage full-cycle recruiting for production associates (full-time and temporary).
• Oversee onboarding and training to ensure effectiveness.
• Process bi-weekly payroll and reconcile timesheets.
• Maintain employee data in HRIS and ensure confidentiality.
• Oversee Leave of Absence and Workers’ Comp administration.
• Coach/mentor managers on performance reviews, discipline, and terminations.
• Track monthly/quarterly/annual HR metrics.
• Support plant management with reports and requests.
• Complete ongoing projects assigned by Divisional HR Manager.
