Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Human Resources Manager in Hillsboro, OR, for a long-standing food manufacturer. The role oversees payroll, benefits, recruiting, employee relations, compliance, and safety initiatives in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong HR knowledge, payroll experience (ADP), and leadership ability, with bilingual English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese encouraged but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of Human Resources experience.
• Experience processing payroll using ADP.
• Strong understanding of employment law, HR compliance, and employee relations.
• Experience administering FMLA, Paid Leave Oregon, Workers' Compensation, and employee accommodations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Payroll and Benefits Administration: Process payroll using ADP, administer benefits, maintain records.
• Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Lead recruiting, screenings, onboarding, and separations.
• Employee Relations and Leadership Support: Guide HR compliance, coach leaders, support performance reviews.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Administer leaves, conduct I-9 audits, ensure SOP compliance, support OSHA.
• Food Safety and Quality Programs: Support HACCP, SQF audits, and safety committee activities.
