Job summary

US Farathane is seeking a detail-oriented HR Generalist to support payroll processing, recruiting, onboarding, and employee leaves at our Riverside, MO facility. The role focuses on hands-on HR support for hourly and salaried staff within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with plant leadership, ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, and maintain up-to-date HR records while promoting engagement and continuous improvement across the workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 2–5 years HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or automotive.
• Experience with payroll processing, recruiting, and leave administration.
• Experience supporting high-volume, hourly workforce populations.
• Knowledge of FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and related regulations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for hourly employees.
• Review timecards for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with supervisors.
• Coordinate payroll changes for hires, terminations, and wage adjustments.
• Maintain payroll and employee records, ensure HRIS data accuracy.
• Respond to employee HR questions related to pay, deductions, and benefits.
• Support compliance with employment laws and HR procedures.
• Maintain attendance records and prepare disciplinary write-ups.
• Prepare separation notices and termination documentation.
• Respond to unemployment requests.
• Administer leaves of absence including FMLA, ADA, PTO.
• Communicate leave eligibility and documentation requirements.
• Track leave status and certifications.
• Support full-cycle recruiting for hourly positions and candidate communications.
• Assist with pre-employment processes like background checks and drug screens.
• Assist HR Manager with HR metrics, reporting, and audits.
• Involve in benefits events such as open enrollment and life event processing.
• Promote a positive workplace culture and employee recognition efforts.
• Be a visible HR presence on the plant floor and collaborate with EHS.
• Respond to off-shift or urgent employee matters.
