Job summary

AVL in Charlotte, NC is seeking an HR Generalist to help build the HR foundation for our new manufacturing facility. You will support daily HR operations, onboarding, employee relations, administration and compliance in a fast-paced, team-first environment.

This role reports to the HR Manager and focuses on the full employee lifecycle, HRIS data integrity (ADP), labor law compliance, and collaboration with insurance and HR teams to drive successful HR initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of Human Resources experience.
• Knowledge of US employment law and compliance laws.
• Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
• Lead new hire onboarding and orientation.
• Assist with employee relations issues as they arise.
• Administer timekeeping and attendance tracking.
• Answer questions on policies, benefits, and payroll.
• Maintain HRIS data for new hires, promotions, terminations, etc (ADP).
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
• Support HR projects, programs, and events.
