Leddy Group, a regional staffing company serving northern New England, is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Generalist for a 50-person manufacturing team. This full-time, direct-hire role will own the HR function, balancing administrative tasks with strategic initiatives and serving as a trusted partner to floor supervisors and executive leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR experience, ideally as a standalone Generalist or Manager.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with hourly workers and focus on plant safety.
• SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle strategy and paperwork.
• Ability to connect with hourly shop-floor workers and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active presence to build trust and resolve issues early.
• Manage performance review process.
• Serve as primary point of contact for employee grievances, conducting fair and well-documented investigations.
• Track attendance and submit timecard data to payroll provider.
• Source, interview, hire, and onboard new employees.
• Maintain OSHA 300 logs and coordinate safety training.
• Ensure compliance with FLSA, FMLA/leave management, and state labor laws.
• Manage annual open enrollment, benefit inquiries, and 401(k) plan administration.
• Maintain digital and physical personnel files.
• Foster a positive work culture.
