Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Business Partner to provide day-to-day HR support for our lumber mills in Talladega, AL, or Warrenton, GA. This on-site role will also support a second mill and collaborate with mill leaders, supervisors, and employees on relations, staffing, onboarding and performance management.

The successful candidate will travel 25% or more between sites, balancing HR priorities across two manufacturing locations and ensuring compliance and recording

Qualifications

• Two or more years of HRBP/HR generalist experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel for organizing workforce data.
• Willingness to travel 25% or more and support two mills on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR guidance to leaders, supervisors, and employees.
• Support hourly staffing activities, including recruiting coordination and onboarding.
• Assist with employee relations, attendance, performance management, and policy application.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR process compliance.
• Prepare workforce information and HR reports on staffing, turnover, and attendance.
• Coordinate with payroll, benefits, recruiting, and other partners to address needs.
• Support employee engagement, recognition, training, and site HR initiatives.
