Job summary

Astro Shapes LLC in Ohio is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead the HR function for our manufacturing operations, partnering with plant leadership to drive people-centered programs that align with business goals.

You will manage a team of HR Generalists, oversee employee and labor relations, talent development, workforce planning, and culture initiatives across multiple locations. This role requires strategic partnering, compliance expertise, and travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing.
• Experience leading employee relations, labor relations, leadership coaching, and developing HR professionals.
• Experience supporting multiple manufacturing locations with senior operational leaders.
• SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Ability to travel regularly between locations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior HR advisor to Plant Managers and Operations Leadership.
• Translate business strategy into workforce and organizational plans.
• Participate in EOS reviews and deployment.
• Drive organizational capability to support growth and operational excellence.
• Partner with COEs to implement enterprise programs.
• Develop plant initiatives and harmonized working practices.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of HR Generalists across locations.
• Provide strategic oversight on employee relations, labor relations, investigations, and performance management.
