Job summary

CPP Syracuse is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support HR and Safety by assisting with recruiting, onboarding, training coordination, and HR documentation. The role emphasizes organized records, policy compliance, and a positive employee experience.

Collaboration with HR and EHS teams is required to ensure smooth daily operations. The position involves confidential handling of information, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to work at the Chittenango facility as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in HR, BA, or related field.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience considered for strong candidates.
• Prior Talent Acquisition or HR experience; training/presentation a plus.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post job openings, track applicants, and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
• Assist with pre-employment screenings, reference checks, and document collection.
• Prepare new hire packets, coordinate first-day logistics, and support orientation delivery.
• Maintain recruitment and onboarding records in HR systems.
• Schedule, coordinate, and conduct trainings, including onboarding and safety sessions.
• Support PPE distribution, hearing/vision testing coordination, and safety compliance docs.
• Maintain personnel files and assist in HR reports.
• Respond to employee inquiries about policies and HR topics.
• Assist with benefits documentation and payroll data as needed.
• Coordinate company events and employee engagement initiatives.
