Job summary

ERM is seeking a Health & Safety Manager in Elkhart, IN for a full-time, limited-term role of 4 months that can be renewed. You will establish, implement, and continuously improve the site’s health and safety programs, drawing on broad H&S knowledge and industry best practices.

The position requires strong regulatory interpretation skills and effective teamwork with production and maintenance. You will lead risk reviews, audits, permit management, PPE programs, and contractor oversight, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related field preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant H&S experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Professional safety certification is a plus.
• Ability to interpret federal/state OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage EHS programs for the facility.
• Lead hazard assessment and risk reduction activities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and process safety standards.
• Manage incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate audits and training programs.
• Oversee PPE programs and permit compliance calendar.
• Support daily risk & operations reviews.
