Job summary

Consentium Search is recruiting a full-time EHS Leader for a premier manufacturing client in La Porte, Indiana. This role involves strategic direction and daily management of EHS programs while ensuring employee safety and asset protection.

You will be part of a four-person EHS team, responsible for regulatory leadership, training, and conducting audits. The ideal candidate has a strong background in EHS leadership, with relevant certifications and advanced education.

Salary is between $100,000 and $120,000, and benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of leading health and safety initiatives.
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
• 5+ years of EHS management experience in manufacturing.

We are recruiting a full-time EHS Leader for a premier manufacturing client in La Porte, Indiana. This is a high-impact opportunity to join a growing team, following the internal promotion of the previous incumbent.

Role Overview

As a vital member of a four-person EHS team, you will report directly to the EHS Manager. You will be responsible for the strategic direction and daily management of EHS programs, serving as a coach and mentor to ensure the safety of all site employees and the protection of company assets.

Major Responsibilities

• Regulatory Leadership: Act as the site SME for the interpretation of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Strategic Alignment: Partner with plant operations leadership to align local initiatives with corporate EHS goals.
• Training & Compliance: Design and lead employee training programs focused on safety behaviors and regulatory compliance.
• Audits & Remediation: Conduct EHS audits and inspections, developing and executing effective remediation plans.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of EHS experience (manufacturing environment preferred).
• Leadership: Proven track record of leading health and safety initiatives and mentoring junior staff.
• Authorization: Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. (Sponsorship is not available).
• 5+ years of EHS management experience in manufacturing.
• Professional Certifications: ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM, REHS, MSP, REM, or CEP.
• Advanced Education: MBA or Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
