Job summary

Victaulic is hiring a Manufacturing Floor Trainer at our Utah Facility in West Jordan. You will provide hands-on, shop-floor instruction to improve operator skills in machine operation, welding, and coating processes as part of the Training team.

You will work directly with shop employees, coaching safe machine use, maintaining certifications, and ensuring proper PPE. Strong communication and self-motivation are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in a manufacturing/steel fabrication environment.
• Working knowledge of arc welding processes for carbon, stainless, and alloy metals.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, efficiently, self-motivated, and detail oriented.
• Strong hands-on coaching and demonstration skills.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with shop employees to demonstrate and build skills in machinery operation and assembly.
• Train employees on safe and proper operation of production machinery, including plasma cutting, grooving machines, and assembly processes.
• Provide hands-on training on forklift and crane operation, and maintain certification records.
• Observe employees performing tasks and provide real-time coaching, correction, and feedback.
• Evaluate employee skill demonstrations on the floor and report progress and certification readiness.
