Job summary

Xylem is seeking a strategic Controller for the Smith-Blair business unit in Texarkana, AR. The role leads the financial close, planning, and reporting efforts, partnering with site leadership to drive performance and governance in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include ensuring U.S.

GAAP compliance, maintaining SOX controls, and guiding budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. Strong leadership and collaboration across operations, supply chain, and product management are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive finance, accounting, or controllership experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Experience supporting manufacturing and operational environments.
• Demonstrated budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business partnering.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for Smith-Blair under U.S. GAAP and Xylem policies.
• Certify financial results and maintain strong SOX controls; coordinate audits.
• Drive close process improvements, accuracy, and transparency.
• Partner with GM and leadership to improve revenue, margin, working capital, and ROIC.
• Develop forecasts and analyze variance with action plans; monitor KPIs (orders, revenue, gross margin).
• Lead, coach, and develop the Smith-Blair finance team; foster high-performance culture.
