Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Controller for its Hydronics portfolio to provide senior financial leadership across Weil‑McLain, Patterson‑Kelley, Sigma‑Omega and related sites. You will oversee close, reporting, and internal controls, partnering with the Director of Finance and FP&A to drive cost visibility and strategic decisions.

You will manage accounting operations, ensure compliance with US GAAP and Sarbanes‑Oxley, and develop the team to enable acquisitions and growth initiatives within

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with leadership roles.
• Experience in multi‑site manufacturing and standard costing environments.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, internal controls, and audits.
• Experience with rebates, sales commissions, warranty reserves, and related programs.
• Ability to partner with operations and FP&A to influence decisions.
• Proven leadership, integrity, and process improvement track record.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation across entities.
• Ensure GAAP compliance, reconciliations, and internal control effectiveness.
• Lead SOX compliance, audits, and cash/working capital governance.
• Partner with FP&A and operations to improve cost visibility and decisions.
• Oversee standard costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances.
• Coach and develop the accounting team and drive process improvements.
