Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking a Manufacturing Facility Security Officer in West Branch, IA. This full‑time role covers access control, front desk duties, and security patrols to protect the facility and guests.

Expect a structured shift from Monday to Friday with a Monday–Friday second shift, and a competitive benefits package. You will engage with clients’ staff, monitor security technology, and respond calmly to incidents, reporting safety concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Resolve conflicts and de-escalate when needed.
• Interact with clients' employees and guests routinely.
• Identify safety issues or suspicious activity and report them.
• Ensure post orders are followed and rounds completed.
• Provide customer service information to clients' staff and guests.
• Utilize security technology devices during shift.
• Conduct long foot patrols of the property.
• Perform access control duties and front desk tasks.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client's employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct lengthy foot patrols of the property.
• Access control duties.
• Front desk duties.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• 2 years of customer service experience.
