Job summary

Securitas, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time role based in Cedar Rapids, IA. The officer will monitor premises, control access, patrol sites, and enforce site rules to maintain a safe environment for clients and guests.

The position requires strong customer service, alertness, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM. Paid training, uniforms, and weekly pay are among the listed benefits.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Security Officer - Part Time

Primary Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Wage Range: $18.00-$19.47/HR

12 Hour Shifts: 7AM - 7PM

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
