Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Part Time Security Officer to keep our client's sites safe by monitoring access, patrolling, and reporting security issues. The role requires strong customer service and the ability to work Fri and Sat evenings.

You will use technology to conduct rounds, respond calmly to incidents, and complete clear reports. Requires HS diploma and 18+, with prior security or military experience a plus. Wage is $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Above average computer / technology skills needed
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift
• Must have a professional demeanor
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to theclient’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Filling out detailed reports.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Wage:$20.00/HR

Schedule: Fri & Sat: 1500 - 2300

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
