Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking a Construction Site Security Officer to help maintain a safe, secure environment at our client sites in Iowa City, IA. The role focuses on access control, patrolling, and rapid response to incidents, with a 7AM–5PM schedule and occasional Saturdays.

You'll work with a small team, monitor premises, enforce site regulations, and deliver dependable customer service to clients and visitors. This full-time shift offers overtime potential and benefits.

Construction Site Security Officer - Full Time

Primary Location: Iowa City, IA

Wage:$19.00/HR

Schedule: Mon - Fri: 7AM - 5PM (occasional Saturdays as needed)

TheConstruction Site Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

• Schedule days will be broken up between 2 officers.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to theclient’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Access control for visitors, vendors, contractors, deliveries, etc.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
