Job summary

Robinson, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Technician in Wisconsin to plan and support manufacturing systems, including material flow, automation, fixturing, and design for manufacturability.

You will collaborate with design engineers, operations, and project managers to resolve production issues, support lean initiatives, generate flat prints, and identify bottlenecks to support future capacity growth. Qualifications

• Associates degree with relevant work experience and/or production floor knowledge.
• Minimum two years of manufacturing engineering experience with knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks (certificate a plus), sheet metal fabricating, welding, and/or assembly experience.
• Experience with parts flat generation and prep work for part files for machine runs, as well as fabrication processes, methods, and programming
• Ability to read and understand shop prints
• Basic understanding of setting up manufacturing routes
• Understanding of material flow methods (push/pull systems)
• Lean or six sigma training, experience or certification a plus, but not required
• Critical thinking, logic, and reasoning to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Knowledge and use of computers and Microsoft Office software
• Proven ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, across all levels of the organization
• Previous experience with PDM Vault or Windchill database programs
• Design for manufacturability exposure

Responsibilities

• Review design renderings/prints and provide design for manufacturability feedback
• Work with internal personnel to resolve production issues, both cost and quality related
• Support lean initiatives for process improvement on the shop floor
• Generate flat prints from models for machine specific requirements
• Strives to understand a high level of all functional areas of manufacturing processes and actively brings forth ideas for process improvement according to company objectives
• Interact with teams of design engineers, operations, and project managers, to secure deadlines
• Identify current state work center capacity bottlenecks within manufacturing and develop plans to realize future state demand
• Assist in processing engineering change notices to the manufacturing floor
• All other duties as assigned

The Manufacturing Engineer Technician plans and supports manufacturing systems involving material flow, automation, fixturing, work content balancing, design for manufacturability, and supports future growth through capacity enhancements.
