Job summary

The Judge Group, INC. is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to lead our laser systems repair operations in Oxford, MA. The role focuses on supervising technicians, managing repair center activities, and driving continuous improvement to deliver high-quality service.

You will partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve complex issues and implement effective repair solutions while maintaining strong customer communication and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading teams or projects in manufacturing or repair settings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of repair technicians to ensure safe, efficient operations.

  • Oversee daily repair center operations including diagnostics and repairs.

Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor - Laser Systems Repair

Location: Oxford, MA - Onsite

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to lead factory-based laser repair operations. This role is responsible for supervising a team of technicians, overseeing repair center activities, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise, operational leadership, and customer-focused problem solving to support the repair and maintenance of advanced laser systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of repair technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality repair operations.
  • Monitor team performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions to achieve operational goals.
  • Foster a customer-focused culture that emphasizes responsiveness, accuracy, quality, and accountability.
  • Manage daily repair center operations, including product diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair activities, and workflow prioritization.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory and ensure the availability of materials needed to support repair activities.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical specialists to resolve complex product issues and develop effective repair solutions.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure repaired products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Serve as a primary technical resource for assigned laser products, providing guidance to customers, technicians, and internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate directly with customers regarding repair status, technical issues, and service escalations.
  • Maintain and support technical documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge-sharing resources.
  • Coordinate service-related activities, including warranty claim processing, product replacements, and service contract administration.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable industry regulations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, and Quality, to identify recurring product issues and improve product reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, quality enhancement, and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree, technical certification, technical diploma, or equivalent technical training and experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting lasers, photonics systems, or other complex capital equipment in a service, repair, manufacturing, or technical support environment.
  • Experience leading teams, projects, or technical operations in a manufacturing, service, or repair setting.

  • Proven experience in customer support, technical support, service operations, or repair management within a product-based industry.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
