Job summary
Scientific Search is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the manufacturing operations behind advanced laser systems, uniting manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and service to deliver reliable customer solutions from Storrs, CT. This hands-on role requires a practical leader who can translate complex technology into dependable deliveries.
You will own production planning, oversee assembly, purchasing, inventory and logistics, and partner with Engineering and Field Service on new-product
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Experience leading manufacturing or technical hardware operations.
- Strong ERP, production planning, inventory, and multi-level BOM knowledge.
- Experience with SAP implementation, migration, or transformation.
Responsibilities
- Lead production planning, assembly, purchasing, inventory, and logistics.
- Drive schedules, capacity planning, and on-time deliveries.
- Partner with Engineering and Field Service on new-product transitions.
- Strengthen sourcing and supplier performance; improve supply-chain resilience.
- Maintain ERP/BOM accuracy and SAP readiness.

Lead the operations behind advanced laser systems that enable scientific and technological innovation worldwide. My client is seeking a hands-on leader to unite manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and service to turn complex technology into reliable customer deliveries.
