Job summary

Narda-MITEQ is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to design and optimize prototype and production processes in a fast-paced environment in Hauppauge, NY. You will support NPI activities, develop tooling, and create detailed work instructions for complex parts and assemblies.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, job safety, and collaboration across departments, with a requirement of a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Material Science; minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with lean manufacturing best practices, process documentation and control methods.
• Must possess excellent communication skills with ability to exchange information clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Development of prototype and production manufacturing processes including equipment, assembly tooling and test fixtures.
• Supports New Product Introduction including new equipment/process introductions, work instruction, and DFM activities.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing and process instructions for complex parts and processes. Create and maintain travelers and work instructions for new parts and assemblies as well as modifications to existing products.
• Support production cell focused on thick film, thin film, substrate manufacturing, and electroplating.
• Evaluate new and existing processes to ensure quality and safety of the job.
• Develop, propose, and implement continuous improvement process initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
