Job summary

Narda-MITEQ in Hauppauge, NY is seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer to develop prototype and production processes for complex parts and assemblies. You will create tooling, work instructions and travelers, while supporting New Product Introduction and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or Materials Science with 4+ years of relevant experience, excellent communication, and a strong lean manufacturing background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Materials Science with 4+ years of experience.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, process documentation and control methods.
• Strong communication skills to exchange information clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Develop prototype and production manufacturing processes for equipment, tooling and test fixtures.
• Support New Product Introduction including new equipment/process introductions and DF/M related activities.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing instructions, travelers and work instructions for new parts and assemblies.
• Support production cells across thick film, thin film, substrate manufacturing and electroplating.
• Evaluate and improve processes to ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
