Job summary

CSP in Huntington, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide process and project engineering support for prototypes, new product introductions, and engineering changes. You’ll coordinate manufacturing activities, lead improvements, and act as project manager for assigned initiatives.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, familiarity with APQP, SPC, and PLC systems, plus cost awareness and proficiency with MS Project, Excel and Word.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment; automotive supplier preferred.
• Familiarity with APQP and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate manufacturing activities to support prototypes, engineering changes and new development products.
• Develop processes and technologies to ensure high quality and profitability.
• Lead projects and manage capital requests and purchase orders.
• Quote costs and schedules for ECNs and new projects; track financials.
• Design tooling, fixtures and layout for product lines.
• Prepare process instructions and training aids per Quality System.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues across lines.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce scrap, downtime and waste.
• Oversee control systems integration and PLC programming.
