Job summary

Narda-MITEQ is seeking a Specialist, Manufacturing Engineering in Hauppauge, NY to lead the development and optimization of prototype and production manufacturing processes, including equipment, tooling, and test fixtures.

You will contribute to New Product Introduction, create detailed process instructions and travelers, and support cells spanning thick/thin film, substrates, and electroplating, while driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Materials Science.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and process documentation.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop prototype and production manufacturing processes including equipment, tooling and test fixtures.
• Supports New Product Introduction including new equipment/process introductions, work instruction, and DFM activities.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing and process instructions for complex parts and processes. Create and maintain travelers and work instructions for new parts and assemblies as well as modifications to existing products.
• Support production cell focused on thick film, thin film, substrate manufacturing, and electroplating.
• Evaluate new and existing processes to ensure quality and safety of the job.
• Develop, propose, and implement continuous improvement process initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Attention to details, strong work ethic and positive attitude, good communication and self-disciplined.
