Job summary

MITER Brands in Fort Lauderdale, FL seeks an Engineering Services Manager to provide technical stewardship across manufacturing processes and equipment. You will explore and deploy new technologies to raise product quality and reduce costs in a fast-paced matrix environment.

You will lead continuous improvement, manage maintenance and projects, and collaborate with Design, Quality, and Operations to meet CpK targets and budget goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required; Lean Six Sigma a plus.
• Ten or more years' experience in supervisory position with technical/leadership expertise.
• Significant experience with machine design concepts (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, dies, PC and PLC) in high volume/manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Supports manufacturing continuous improvement activities to maintain flow of high-quality product and implement improvements.
• Manages work instructions, line layouts, and procedures for documentation and operator training.
• Supports site EHS and Quality activities including investigations and CAPA.
• Manages projects for deployment/improvement of processing technology with contractors/suppliers.
• Monitors project progress and prepares reports for Leadership; manages budget and timelines.
• Leads Maintenance Teams to improve asset availability and collaborates with Reliability team.
• Plans budgets, analyzes cost estimates, and manages spending on assets.
• Directs team activities, prioritizes projects, and resolves conflicts to drive results.
• Develops staff to become knowledge experts in assigned processes/technologies.
• Coordinates with Design to align product design with manufacturing CpK targets and costs.
• Researches technologies to improve quality, reduce cost, or increase safety; evaluates and audits results.
• Develops departmental budgets and procedures; reviews expenses.
