Job summary
MITER Brands is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to improve manufacturing processes, support production operations, and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The role collaborates with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and product engineering to implement scalable solutions.
You will apply intermediate engineering knowledge to troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, support NPI and production launches, and ensure processes meet business
Qualifications
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience with root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA).
- Experience with ERP/MES systems.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Develop and implement process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
- Support daily production operations by troubleshooting process and equipment issues.
- Lead or support capital equipment and tooling projects.
- Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities and production launches.
- Monitor and improve key manufacturing metrics (scrap, downtime, throughput, labor).
