Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Sr Maintenance and Reliability Manager to lead site maintenance and reliability teams at our New Jersey manufacturing site. The role focuses on improving asset reliability, driving efficiency, and managing a large technical workforce across maintenance tasks, calibration, and CMMS/EMS systems.

You will collaborate with Engineering on plans for new equipment, ensure regulatory compliance, and guide RCA analyses to address recurring failures while managing budgets and KPIs for site

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience, or 15+ years in maintenance/reliability.
• Strong technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Experience with diverse customer base and outstanding customer service; strong relationships with collaborators.
• Very high attention to detail and strict adherence to procedures.
• 5+ years of experience leading a team with direct managerial responsibilities.
• Results driven with strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day activities of exempt and nonexempt technical personnel.
• Leads the organization and sets direction for direct reports.
• Drives performance to support manufacturing operations.
• Develops monthly KPI reports and tracks data; drives improvements.
• Performs Root Cause Analysis for major equipment failures and analyzes asset metrics.
• Reviews maintenance and installation plans with Engineering and ensures reliability of changes.
• Ensures compliance with policies, EHS, cGMP and regulatory requirements.
• Analyzes failure history to develop long-term solutions.
• Oversees timely execution of maintenance tasks (PdM, PM, DM, etc.).
• Manages Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) and asset lifecycle.
• Manages departmental budget and financial adherence.
